Upper Antelope Canyon, like other slot canyons in the same area, is mainly composed of sandstones eroded by tens of thousands of years of floods, forming the ever-changing shapes and unique textures we see today. The color of the sandstone seems to have entered an unreal country. One of its highlights is its famous light beam. As long as there is normal sunshine, it is very likely to be seen when entering the park at noon. Regardless of whether the light beam can be seen or not, Antelope Canyon will definitely leave every visitor with an unforgettable experience. An unforgettable experience!
For a self-driving tour of Upper Antelope Canyon, you need to gather at the local team operation travel agency in Page, Arizona (about 4.5 hours' drive from Las Vegas), and then take the jeep they provide to Upper Antelope Canyon. It takes about 10 minutes to drive to the entrance of the canyon; after visiting the park, take a jeep back to the town of Page.
Upper Antelope Canyon has only a single entrance and exit. You enter and leave the park at the same place. The terrain in the park is almost all flat, making it easy to walk. The entire journey requires walking approximately 660 feet (200 meters).
Upper Antelope Canyon is an Indian reserve. In order to ensure the safety of tourists and protect the natural environment in the scenic spot, you must purchase tickets to join a local tour and be brought into the park by a local Indian guide.
There are many different operating travel agencies in Upper Antelope Canyon. The tickets we can currently book are operated by several different businesses. In recent years, noon tickets for Shang Antelope are harder to buy than before, especially during major holidays. Most of the 11 to 12 o'clock tickets have been sold out or some have been reserved by other group travel agencies. So the earlier we can book, the higher the chance of getting it. We can also get tickets through some group travel agencies.

During non-noon peak hours (7:00am to 10:59pm and 2:00pm to 5:00pm), tickets are $160 per person (same price), including $8/person environmental protection fee.
During the noon rush hour (11:00am to 1:59pm), tickets are $180 per person (same price), including $8/person environmental protection fee.
