Follow four friends on a good-versus-evil journey through self-discovery that touches on civil rights, sexuality and loneliness en route to a message of world unity.  The story begins with each of four main characters receiving an object from the show's narrator and spirit guide, the King of Pop himself, and as the performance progresses the group gradually takes on their mentor's qualities.  First, Clumsy is given Michael's shoes and with his newfound stability, performs a double slackline act to the famous song "Bad."  Then, Shy overcomes her name when she is gifted with Michael’s glasses and defeats a band of warriors in a martial arts display set to "2000 Watts" and "Jam." Next, Smarty Pants, the assumed leader of the group, puts on Michael's hat and is instilled with the icon’s legendary gracefulness in "Smile."  Finally, the troublemaker, Sneaky, is presented with the famous rogue glove and performs a playful act to "This Place Hotel" and "Working Day & Night."  The objects become charms, leading the four to understand that they were brought together by their love of Michael and are meant to carry on his vision of joy, peace and kindness. Of course, no story line is complete without an antagonist; the heroes are challenged throughout the show by Mephisto a menacing character made of microphones, radios, televisions, tungsten bulbs, cameras and surveillance equipment, obviously referencing the paparazzi that haunted Jackson throughout his life.
